Seahorse Sound is a full service recording studio located in downtown Los Angeles California.

The studio is located in an old warehouse, once used as a handbag factory. The unique configuration of brick and wood lends it self to be an inpsiring sounding recording studio.

Seahorse features a classic recording studio layout, with a very big live room, and 2 more smaller isolation booths of different characters. The control room is located on the 2nd story overlooking the main live room.

The main room (23x30X24) is large enough for a small orchestra and features acoustically unique spaces throughout. Big, ambient drum sounds or small, tight and punchy are just a few of the many sonic options here. The room is full of great amps, pianos, organs and other instruments that your more than welcome to use.

With a total of 3 stories, musicians and artists can relax during takes on the 3rd story loft and rooftop lounge. Recording sessions are very comfortable with plenty of kitchen space, an upstairs art gallery, lounges and many nearby restuarants and attractions.

Check out our gear collection's nice balance of modern and vintage gear. You can record to either Pro Tools, 1" 16-track analog, or both. All conversion is high definition Lynx Aurora AD/DA. If we dont have something you need, we can easily get it in time for your session.

Sound Design, Music Replacement/Production, and Film Scoring services are available for those in need of sound work for movies, tv and art installations. Clients include: Sony USA, Sony Japan, Disney, MGM, Warner Bros, Interscope, museums and many great independent artists.
